Tito Eleto, a knife-wielding Black British guy, inflicted stab wounds on two women who were attempting to save a six-month-old baby in Wandsworth. Tito Eleto, 30, of Radipole Road, Fulham, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail for attempted murder, intentional grievous bodily injury, and possession of a knife.

Tito Eleto forcibly entered the victim’s flat and perpetrated a ‘horrific’ assault on her and her mother on December 4, 2023. He inflicted a stab wound to the face of the younger victim, aged in her 30s, while endeavouring to stab her mother, in her 60s, twice in the head.

The women confined themselves in the bedroom with the six-month-old infant of the younger victim and obstructed the entrance with a cot. Tito Eleto advanced, still wielding the knife, and declared, “everyone in the room is going to die.” After pleading for their life and the protection of the infant, he ultimately vacated the flat.

Authorities, alerted by neighbours who heard screams, discovered Tito Eleto in the lift, bloodied and wielding a knife. After declining to relinquish the weapon and attempting self-inflicted harm, the police successfully subdued him prior to his arrest and subsequent transport to the hospital.

The attack left the younger woman with deep cuts to her face, arms and neck, while her mother was left with cuts to her arms. Both were taken to hospital, although the baby was left unharmed.

“This was a horrific attack on two women which began on a doorstep and escalated into a fight for their lives,” said Investigating officer Detective Constable Lucas Pollard. “The women absolutely thought they were going to die – it must have been terrifying for them, not least as a six-month-old baby was also inside the property.

“I thank the neighbours who heard the women’s screams for help and called the police. Those officers then confronted Tito Eleto as he tried to flee and, despite Tito Eleto being still armed with a knife, managed to overpower and arrest him. Other officers who helped the victims described the scene inside the property as ‘carnage’.

“This type of domestic attack has a long-lasting impact on victims and we will always do our absolute best to investigate and bring offenders to justice.”

Tito Eleto, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 12 years for attempted murder of the younger woman at Kingston Crown Court on Monday, December 16. Her will serve a concurrent five year sentence for GBH with intent on the older woman and one year for possession of a knife.
