Stephen Jones, a Sunderland Paedophile, faced restrictions after being apprehended by paedophile hunters, which included a prohibition on removing internet gadgets.

A Paedophile Stephen Jones has been incarcerated for erasing the history on his phone.

In 2020, Stephen Jones was afforded an opportunity to avoid incarceration after being apprehended by paedophile hunters while seeking to meet a youngster subsequent to engaging in sexual grooming. As part of his punishment for that offence, he received a sexual harm prevention order, which included a stipulation prohibiting the deletion of his online history.

On May 11 of this year, law enforcement visited his residence to do a welfare check and requested to see his equipment. A 55-year-old resident, Stephen Jones, of Gladstone Street, Sunderland, surrendered a phone, asserting that it had no pertinent information.

When informed that there should be something present, given his prohibition against deletion, he responded: “You will discover nothing; I have erased it.” I prefer to clean my phone. Upon his arrest, he responded, “Damn, I am going to prison.”

In addition to the 2020 conviction, he appeared in court in September of the previous year for failing to adhere to his sex offender notification obligations by not reporting a change of address. In November, he was found guilty of a comparable violation.

Stephen Jones pleaded guilty to violating his sexual harm prevention order and was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Judge Christopher Prince, at Newcastle Crown Court, stated: “You possess a troubling record in recent times.” You pose a significant danger of committing sexual offences against children.
