A 38-year-old Erdington Paedophile, Solomon Smith, forcibly propelled a 15-year-old girl into a shop entrance on Erdington High Street and committed an indecent assault against her.
On March 15 of this year, the day preceding the assault, Smith inappropriately touched a woman while she was working at the counter of a fast food establishment in Birmingham city centre.
Solomon Smith, residing on Hunton Road in Erdington, had recently been freed from incarceration in January after completing a custodial sentence for prior charges of sexually abusing women.
Detective Constable Tom Finney, from the Public Protection Unit, stated: “Solomon Smith’s reprehensible conduct has caused significant distress to his victims.”
I trust it provides these women with some solace to be aware that he is now incarcerated. He is suspected of committing more sexual offences, and we urge any other potential victims to come forward to facilitate a comprehensive investigation.
Solomon Smith confessed to sexual assault through inappropriate touching and exposing at Birmingham Crown Court and received sentencing on July 25.
Solomon Smith will continue to be included on the sex offenders register.
