Rafiqur Rahman Police Sex Offender
Rafiqur Rahman Police Sex Offender

A female police officer courageously confronted PC Sex Offender Rafiqur Rahman’s “abhorrent” conduct, resulting in his removal from the force in February. PC Rafiqur Rahman, assigned to the policing unit for Newham and Waltham Forest, inappropriately touched a colleague while on duty in 2021.

Subsequently, she communicated with him regarding a different issue, to which Rafiqur Rahman replied with an unacceptable remark. Chief Superintendent Simon Crick, overseeing policing in the Waltham Forest borough, stated: “All of my officers are anticipated to conduct themselves with the highest integrity, both towards the public and their colleagues.”

I am appalled that my officer was abused in this manner, and we are implementing measures to guarantee her ongoing welfare. Rafiqur Rahman is unfit for the Met or policing and has been appropriately sacked.
