A convicted Peterborough paedophile, Peter Swan, has been incarcerated after compensating ladies in the Philippines to facilitate the streaming abuse of their children.

Peter Swan, 62, initiated contact between 2015 and 2023 through social media and dating applications. He proposed financial compensation to the women in exchange for either a live feed or film depicting youngsters engaged in sexual actions, according to allegations from the Mirror.

Peter Swan discussed arranging a meeting with them and their children via Skype conversations. In February 2023, law enforcement executed a search warrant in Orton Malborne, Peterborough, after Swan was apprehended for uploading an obscene image of a minor to the internet.

Dell and Sony laptops, together with a Samsung phone, were confiscated and discovered to contain nearly 3,000 obscene photographs of minors. Peter Swan was voluntarily examined and released on bail with conditions, but was subsequently detained again in November 2023 following the revelation of the Skype messages.

Nevertheless, he persisted in accessing obscene photographs online, utilising Skype to communicate with women, and employing Telegram to finance immoral materials, live broadcasts, and movies depicting the abuse of children. On Wednesday, December 18, at Peterborough Crown Court, Swan was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Judge Sean Enright stated that Swan conducted “a prolonged campaign against children in a developing nation,” unlike any he had yet encountered in court.

Personal Computer Alex Cochrane of Cambridgeshire Constabulary stated: “Peter Swan disgracefully solicited vulnerable women for monetary compensation to observe the sexual abuse of children for his own depraved pleasure.”

“Safeguarding vulnerable individuals is a paramount priority, and children will certainly be more secure with Peter Swan incarcerated.”

Peter Swan admitted guilt to three charges of orchestrating the sexual exploitation of a child under 13 and one charge of orchestrating the sexual exploitation of a minor aged 13 to 17. He acknowledged six charges of producing indecent photographs of minors and received no additional punishment for these acts.

Judge Sean Enright stated that the sentences were appropriately consecutive since “each child represents a distinct catastrophe.”
