A serving officer of Police Scotland, Peter Fleming, has been suspended and registered as a sex offender after confessing to three instances of “communicating indecently.”

Peter Fleming admitted guilt to three historical charges of indecent communication at Greenock Sheriff Court on Monday.

The 41-year-old, Peter Fleming, was suspended instantaneously.

He is scheduled for sentencing on February 26.

The Professional Standards Department of Police Scotland will now compile a report regarding egregious misconduct.

Chief Superintendent Helen Harrison of Professional norms stated, “Peter Fleming’s conduct significantly deviates from the professional behaviour standards anticipated of all personnel here.”

I commend the victims in this instance for their courage in coming forward. Reporting such crimes might be challenging; nonetheless, their commitment to justice exemplifies their honesty, and I commend their principles.
