Another alleged Normanton Paedophile West Yorkshire police officer, Marcus Newbold, has been indicted for the historic rape of a young child in the Kirklees area along with another eight charges.
PC Marcus Newbold an active member of West Yorkshire Police, 29 years old and residing in Kirklees, has been charged with the rape of a girl under 13, as well as several sexual assaults against the same victim and for causing or instigating sexual activity.
He has been suspended on full pay since 2022.
The purported offences occurred between 2007, when he was 12 years old, and 2011:
- Rape of a girl under 13
- Assault of a girl under 13 by Penetration
- Assault of a girl under 13 by touching x 5
- Causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity x 2
Marcus Newbold commenced employment with West Yorkshire Police in January 2021. The police stated that the purported offences were reported in September 2022, and he has been suspended since that time.
He is scheduled to appear at Leeds District Magistrates Court on Friday, 3 January.
Marcus Newbold did appear and pleaded Not Guilty to all charges and the Police managed to escort him secretly from the Magistrates court so he could not be photographed.
Marcus Newbold is now due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 31st January 2024.
