Michael Cook paedophile rapist Shrewsbury

Harlescott Paedophile Michael Cook is a “dangerous” child molester who poses a very high risk to children.

Michael Cook, 24, was imprisoned at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday following a guilty plea to 12 sexual offences, which over five years had taken place — some while he was already on police release.

Saying, “In my judgement, there is a risk you will commit further offences against children,” Judge Laura Hobson said Michael Cook fit the profile of a “dangerous offender.”

Michael Cook, from Harlescott, Shrewsbury, had accepted offences of physical abuse of a young child, possession of indecent photographs of minors, and attempted child sex offence arrangement.

Michael Cook first came under police notice in 2018.

Simon Parry, prosecuting, claimed that a mother residing in northern England had grown worried about who her 12-year-old daughter was talking to on her phone.

She sought help from her brother, who checked the phone and discovered the girl had a Snapchat contact under the name “boyfriend,” with a “hey beautiful” signed-off “x.”
