Michael Binder, an alleged paedophile from Shoeburyness, has been accused with five sexual crimes against minors.
Specialist detectives examining historical sexual assault cases are investigating acts alleged to have occurred between 2009 and 2011 in the Southend district.
Michael Binder, 42, of Bournes Green Chase in Shoeburyness, has been charged with two counts of producing an indecent photograph of a child, two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, and one count of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15.
Michael Binder will next appear at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 January.
