A Hewelsfield Paedophile scrap metal dealer, Mark Rumbol , who sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Rustington has been imprisoned.

Between 2020 and 2021, 58-year-old Mark Rumbol of Hewelsfield in Wales, sexually abused a girl under the age of 15 repeatedly.

March 2021 saw reports of abuse; Rumbol was arrested while expert police were assisting his victim.

Later charges against him were rape, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of assault by penetration, and one offence of encouraging a female to have sex (no penetration).

Mark Rumbol was found not guilty of all charges except rape on December 18, Lewes Crown Court.

“Mark Rumbol subjected his victim to appalling crimes for his gratification, with no regard for the terrible harm they caused,” Detective Constable Julie Leseure said.

“She has shown incredible bravery and will to document the mistreatment and assist this inquiry.

Mark Rumbol is behind bars, and he cannot inflict any more damage because of her fortitude.
