A Worthing Paedophile sex offender, Lewis Peters, was imprisoned for possessing obscene photographs of youngsters
Following an information based investigation by Sussex Police’s OCAT (Online Child Abuse Team), Lewis Peters was detained at his Worthing residence on June 3.
Lewis Peters tried to hide a tiny memory card with 250 category A indecent photographs and videos of young children.
Examining his phone revealed 32 Category A, 74 Category B, and 12 Category C photos.
Lewis Peters was already granted in April 2023 a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). Having these pictures puts him in violation of this code.
Appearing before Hove Crown Court on July 5, the 31-year-old admitted three counts of creating an indecent photo of a minor, four counts of violating a SHPO and possession of severe pornographic photos.
On July 16, Hove Crown Court condemned him to four years’ jail.
“Lewis Peters appears to be determined to continue offending despite the SHPO given him after conviction for other offences in April 2023,” investigator Maisie Upjohn of Worthing OCAT said.
“Possessing and downloading obscene photos of children is a very severe violation, shown in the heavy jail term handed to him at court.
“Every one of the pictures and videos Lewis Peters possessed points to an unfortunate victim somewhere in the world.
“This case shows that we will aggressively hunt offenders to stop them from causing further damage to children.”
