A Daventry Paedophile, Lewis Green, who engaged in the sexual abuse of a little girl and utilised social media to exploit another youngster sexually has been incarcerated.
Lewis Green, a 22-year-old paedophile, was initially reported to law enforcement in August 2022 following an allegation made by a seven-year-old child. According to the girl’s mother, Lewis Green had engaged in multiple instances of sexual assault against her daughter starting in March of the same year.
The Child Abuse Investigation Unit (CAIU) of Northamptonshire Police initiated an inquiry into Lewis Green’s conduct, resulting in his subsequent arrest on charges of two instances of sexual assault involving physical contact with a girl under the age of 13, as well as two cases of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl under the age of 13.
While he was awaiting trial for these charges, the police force got a fresh report in February. The information came from a parent who knew Lewis Green and discovered over 200 messages from him on their nine-year-old child’s Facebook Messenger account.
The two investigations were consolidated, and Lewis Green was subsequently charged with the offences of soliciting sexual communication with a minor and inducing a girl under the age of 13 to participate in sexual activity without involving penetration.
Lewis Green, residing at Staverton Road, Daventry, pleaded guilty to all the allegations during a hearing at a crown court on March 6. Green had already acknowledged one charge of violating bail conditions before magistrates on February 21 in connection with the investigation of 2022.
Before his sentence, he was detained in custody, and the sentencing occurred at Northampton Crown Court on August 9.
Lewis Green received a combined sentence of 27 months in jail and had to register as a sex offender for ten years.
In addition, he was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that prohibits him from residing with, contacting, or communicating with any females under the age of 16. Furthermore, Lewis Green cannot use any internet-enabled device without informing his offender management team and adhering to rigorous inspection and usage regulations.
During the subsequent discussion, Detective Constable Emily Faulkner and Detective Constable James Wright, who are part of CAIU’s joint investigation team, stated that Lewis Green is a repeat offender who has a documented record of engaging in sexual assault against minors.
“Despite being aware of the ages of the children he victimised, he persistently manipulated and pressured them into engaging in sexual acts to fulfil his gratification.”
Lewis Green demonstrated a blatant disregard for both the victims and the bail conditions that explicitly prohibited him from any interaction with individuals under the age of 18. This indicates that the individual in question has a complete disregard for others and is primarily motivated by his self-interest, as acknowledged by the judge, who observed that he derived sexual pleasure from his misconduct.
Lewis Green only entered guilty pleas to all counts when there was undeniable evidence against him. However, he has consistently demonstrated self-pity and a lack of empathy, with minimal regret for others.
Both children were profoundly impacted by Lewis Green’s criminal behaviour, causing significant distress to their families and a violation of trust that was highly disturbing.
We applaud the imposition of Lewis Green’s jail sentence, as we hope that this will allow him to contemplate the harm he has inflicted upon these vulnerable youngsters. Upon his release, he will be under constant surveillance by a specialised squad that focuses on sex offenders, which will significantly impede his ability to re-offend. However, we will always perceive him as a danger to children.
“As the officers in charge (OICs), we express our gratitude to both families for their exemplary handling of the situation and the unwavering support they have provided to their children during this arduous period.”
Moreover, the children, who from the first, displayed the fortitude and courage to discuss Green’s actions openly. This demonstrates their remarkable strength, and they deserve recognition for their courageous actions.
“Northamptonshire Police regards any type of mistreatment towards children with the utmost gravity, and we will consistently pursue the most severe punishments for those responsible.”
