A deviant Darlington paedophile, Kevin Clark, with perverted inclinations transmitted disturbing recordings depicting the sexual torture of animals to a “teenage girl” with whom he was conversing online.

Kevin Clark, 63, transmitted films depicting a woman engaging in sexual acts with a horse and a dog, following an online user’s statement expressing her “liking for animals.” In April 2022, Clark utilised the alias “John Smyth” on a chat service during a conversation with a girl he believed to be 15 years old.

He enquired whether she wished to view a video of underage siblings engaging in sexual acts, then informing her that adults had uploaded pornographic images of animals on the site, asserting that “she was too young to see that and she should leave.” Kevin Clark expressed his enthusiasm for the next posts.

He subsequently enquired whether the child desired a photograph of his genitalia and stated that he was “contemplating her with a dog.” Teesside Crown Court has been informed that the “child” remains unlocated and may have been a teenage girl or an adult decoy seeking sexual offenders online.

On May 31, 2023, police apprehended Kevin Clark following intelligence indicating he possessed illicit photographs of minors. Videos and photographs depicting the sexual assault of children were discovered on his mobile phone. He had additionally downloaded 20 images depicting the sexual torture of animals.

Kevin Clark subsequently entered a guilty plea for the distribution of indecent photographs; three charges of creating indecent images; attempting to engage in sexual communications with a minor; attempting to compel a minor to observe a sexual act; and possession of severe pornography involving animals.

Nigel Soppitt informed the court that Kevin Clark had been alone and mourning the death of his mother at the time he perpetrated the acts. “His relationship concluded, leaving him without anyone to confide in during his mourning.” None of his family members are alive.

He turned to chat rooms and the more sinister corners of the internet. He claims to have participated in a peculiar fantasy.

Judge Paul Reid stated to Kevin Clark, “…at 63, the majority of us have experienced bereavements and traumas, yet we do not engage in this reprehensible conduct.” He sentenced Kevin Clark, of Wales Street in Darlington, to 32 months of incarceration.

He is have to register as a sex offender for the next ten years.
