Keanu Vella Woodford Green Paedophile

After his release from jail, a known Woodford Green Paedophile predator, Keanu Vella, who masturbated in front of a small child changed his address without informing authorities. Then he assaulted a sex worker at knifepoint. At Snaresbrook Crown Court on Thursday, July 11, Keanu Vella, 30, of Woodford Green, was imprisoned for twelve years and nine months with six years on extended licence for rape, false imprisonment, and breach of his existing notification obligations.

Keanu Vella was imprisoned two years ago at Snaresbrook Crown Court for “engaging in sexual activity in front of a minor”. The victim’s mother warned he was “dangerous” after Vella masturbated in front of a nine-year-old daughter, lamenting the length of his sentence about the likely lifetime trauma left with her daughter.

“Given her youth, we do not feel the sentence fits the crime. Though he spent two years in jail, consider how long it will impact the children”.

Vella changed his address without alerting police, yet he was subject to notification requirements following his release. Keanu Vella, formerly from Chingford, set up a sex worker to visit his house on May 10, 2023, at his new location in Woodford Green.

Keanu Vella held her at knifepoint and raped her after the scheduled session ended. A public member called the police to report the upset woman she discovered outside.

Keanu Vella was arrested on scene and accused of failing to follow notification rules, false imprisonment, and rape. This week before his sentence, he entered a guilty plea for the three offences.

“Keanu Vella is a registered sex offender who is dangerous to women,” Met’s East Area Public Protection Unit’s Detective Constable Jessica Stephens said. He has shown that he cannot follow the court-ordered alerts allowing him his freedom; hence, it is appropriate that he will now be in a location where he no longer poses a threat to women and girls.

“I hope the penalty given motivates more sex offenders’ victims to come forward. These crimes must be reported so that we may assist victims and begin compiling evidence against offenders so they may come before the courts.”

“We are appreciative of the victim in this case,” PC Emma Porter, the victim’s Sexual Offence Liaison Officer, said after supporting her all through the process. Over the judicial process, she has been tenacious, courageous, and patient. Keanu Vella is in prison now. Hence, my honest hope is that she will put her terrible crimes behind her and go on with her life.
