A Stourport-on-Severn Paedophile, Julian Davis, armed with handcuffs and apprehended in Worcester, has been incarcerated after attempting to engage in sexual acts with a kid, his intents deemed ‘sickening.’

Julian Davis, who attempted to engage in sexual conduct with a minor, was sentenced today (Monday) to 32 months in prison and issued a lifetime sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

A 62-year-old individual, Julian Davis, from Stourport-on-Severn was apprehended on December 4, 2024, as a result of an operation conducted by the Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team (OCSET) of West Mercia Police.

Officers apprehending Davis in Worcester discovered things in his vehicle, including cable ties, handcuffs, a whip, lubricant, amphetamines, Viagra, baby wipes, and mobile phones, which were confiscated and analysed.

Julian Davis was interviewed and then charged on December 5, then released on bail on December 6 with restrictions prohibiting any direct or indirect contact with individuals under the age of 18, prior to today’s hearing at Worcester Crown Court.

He was convicted of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor, possessing a Class B restricted substance—amphetamine, and organising or aiding the commission of an offence involving sexual conduct with a child or inciting a child to engage in penetration.

Julian Davis received a 32-month prison sentence, a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order, was mandated to register as a sex offender eternally, and was forced to pay £150 in costs.

Detective Constable Richard Britton, of West Mercia’s OCSET, said: “We carried out this operation on December 4 targeting Davis following intelligence work he was attempting to engage in sexual activity with a child.

“What we found in his car was alarming and showed his sickening intentions. Fortunately, on this occasion we were able to stop an offender before they could abuse a child.

“We were glad to get charges brought against Davis and this prison sentence imposed today. Upon his release, he will remain subject to a lifetime sexual harm prevention order and will remain on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.”
