A former inspector, Jonathan McLeod, who engaged in sexual relations with a lady while on duty for Essex Police might have been dismissed had he not already quit. An unnamed officer, Jonathan McLeod, participated in a consensual sexual relationship with a lady he encountered during his official duties in 2017, and this behaviour occurred while he was both on and off duty.
Jonathan McLeod transmitted an explicit image of himself to the female while on duty and falsely asserted that he was off duty for some activities. The cop resigned from his post several days prior to the hearing.
The former Inspector, Jonathan McLeod, was afforded anonymity by the Chief Constable to safeguard the identities of individuals outside the force who would be significantly and adversely affected if his identity were disclosed.
But we found out who he was anyway:
Jonathan McLeod, 38, who had been based in Basildon with Essex Police, would have been dismissed without notice but for his resignation in February 2020.
