Following a five-day trial, Paedophile Jason Lineker of Moulsecoomb Way, Brighton, was found guilty unanimously at Lewes Crown Court on August 27.
The 34-year-old paedophile, Jason Lineker, received a five-and-a-half-year sentence and one year on a supplementary prison licence.
Jason Lineker received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to last until another court order and will be a registered sex offender for a lifetime.
The SHPO will hopefully instead severely limit his access to youngsters.
The trial was a re-trial following a jury split in November last year, where the jury could not agree on a judgement.
Evidence for the most recent trial came from the little child and witnesses.
“The victim, a young child, was courageous, having to provide evidence in two trials as a result of the hung jury outcome in November 2020,” Brighton Safeguarding Investigations Unit detective constable Angela Harvey said.
