A Llandysul Paedophile, Jason Church, has appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates’ Court, where he confessed to creating nearly 40,000 indecent photos of minors and possessing a guidebook on child sexual assault.
On August 23, 2023, Jason Church, 40, was apprehended by authorities in Milford Haven for possessing a guidebook that provided instructions on the sexual exploitation of children.
As a result of the discovery, a warrant was executed at Jason Church’s property where police discovered 2,688 indecent Category A images of a child which are the most serious, 4,160 indecent Category B images of a child and 32,205 indecent category C images of a child.
This week Jason Church, who gave his address to the court as Dolnant, Llandysul, pleaded guilty to all four charges.
District Judge Mark Layton declined jurisdiction in the matter and the case will now proceed at Swansea Crown Court.
Jason Church is expected to be sentenced on November 12. He was released on conditional bail.

A 40-year-old man, Jason Church, from Pembrokeshire has received JUST a 22-month prison sentence after being discovered in possession of approximately 40,000 indecent photos of children, including some of the most frightening types imaginable. Jason Church, a father of young children, appeared at Swansea Crown Court to face various allegations pertaining to child exploitation.
The inquiry commenced after law enforcement identified dubious online behaviour associated with Jason Church’s residence in Milford Haven. On August 23, 2023, officers conducted a search warrant at his apartment, during which Church acknowledged possessing incriminating material on his mobile phone. He directly informed the police, “It’s on my phone, what you’re seeking” when enquired about the content of the photographs.
Authorities discovered on his Samsung cellphone an extensive collection of 2,688 Category A photographs (the most serious), 4,160 Category B images, and 32,205 Category C images. Among these disturbing photos were movies illustrating the sexual exploitation of extremely young children, including an infant. Furthermore, authorities uncovered a 170-page booklet that offered comprehensive instructions on the exploitation of youngsters and how to avoid detection.
In court, prosecutor Ashanti-Jade Walton underscored the explicit nature of the discovered material and stressed the gravity of Jason Church’s actions. Notwithstanding his prior unblemished record, Jason Church admitted guilt to all allegations levied against him. The defence attorney observed that Church recognised the gravity of his crimes and had pursued assistance from organisations dedicated to avoiding child exploitation.
Judge Huw Rees denounced the Church’s practices as “unhealthy” and a substantial threat to children. He asserted, “These are not merely images; they symbolise actual victims,” emphasising the severity of Jason Church’s misdeeds and their repercussions on real lives.
Alongside his incarceration, Church must register as a sex offender and will be bound by a sexual harm prevention order for ten years post-release.
