Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a Thame Paedophile Jamie Standen man was sentenced to prison for online child sexual offences.
Jamie Standen, 34, of Roundhead Drive, Thame, was sentenced to six years in jail at Oxford Crown Court yesterday (November 7).
Jamie Standen pleaded guilty to:
The charges include six counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor, two counts of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in penetrative sexual behaviour, and two counts of possessing incident pictures of children.
A further hearing on a sexual harm prevention order will be held at the same court on July 26.
Jamie Standen communicated online with many youngsters between October 2021 and November 2022, whom he believed to be aged 12 to 13.
Jamie Standen also emailed sexually explicit photos to one child and encouraged others to participate in sexual penetrative behaviour.
However, Jamie Standen was in reality conversing with undercover cops.
The probe also revealed a hidden folder on his mobile phone containing indecent photographs of youngsters.
Jamie Standen was detained on January 31, 2022, and charged with postal requisition on May 25, 2022.
Detective Constable Chloe Thompson of Abingdon CID said, “I am happy that Jamie Standen pled guilty to the offences and has been sentenced to jail.
“Jamie Standen has never expressed regret for his actions and has even sent letters to himself, implying the involvement of a third party in an attempt to thwart the police inquiry.
“He continued to deny the allegations after his arrest until the first day of trial, when, faced with overwhelming evidence, he entered guilty pleas.”
“Our fight against online child sexual abuse will never stop; I hope this conviction highlights not only our commitment to tackling these crimes but also to protect all children and tracking down anyone who seeks to harm them.”
