Convicted paedophile James Heslop has been sentenced to imprisonment, eight years after his initial apprehension for possessing indecent photos.
James Heslop, now 56, was initially apprehended for possessing child pornography in 2011 and received a 10-year sexual offence prevention order (SOPO).

Officers from Northumbria Police conducted a search of James Heslop’s residence in Vine Street, Wallsend, based on a tip-off from the National Crime Agency (NCA), resulting in the recovery of multiple devices containing over 200 indecent photos.
Subsequent to his 2011 conviction, he was additionally subjected to a prohibition that forbade him from possessing any photos of anyone under the age of 16, in addition to the Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO).
