A Paedophile in Wokingham, James Dyer, has been imprisoned for a number of sex offences following an investigation by Thames Valley Police.
James Dyer, 37, of HMP Five Wells, was sentenced to 18 months in jail at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday (September 7).
He was already placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.
James Dyer pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing a minor to watch or look at an image of sexual conduct, and violating his Sexual Harm Protection Order.
On February 28, last year, the victim’s mother examined her phone and discovered sexually explicit Instagram messages from Dyer.
James Dyer had also sent the victim sexually explicit films of himself as well as voice messages.
These texts, videos, and voice notes were sent to the victim between February 2 and February 20 of last year.
James Dyer was already on a Sexual Harm Prevention Order at the time, which barred him from communicating with children under the age of 16. He violated the order.
He was arrested during a voluntary interview on September 8, last year, while already in prison.
James Dyer was accused on April 3 of this year and convicted on May 1.
Detective Constable Jill Collett, the investigating officer, stated, “James Dyer is a habitual criminal, and I am pleased that he will remain in prison for these crimes.
