Jake Brown, a deviant rapist from Histon who perpetrated a violent assault followed by the rape of a lady in a “horrific” incident has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Jake Brown, 25, assaulted the woman at a residence in Peterborough during the early hours of 21 January.
Jake Brown repeatedly struck and bit her, after that applying pressure with his thumbs on her eyes in what the victim characterised as an attempt to gouge them out.
Jake Brown subsequently assaulted her, after which she managed to flee and utilise a neighbour’s cell phone to get assistance.
Jake Brown absconded with the woman’s phone but was apprehended at Peterborough railway station later that day.
Jake Brown, of St Audrey Close, Histon, denied rape, assault causing actual bodily harm, false imprisonment, sexual assault, criminal damage and theft.
Jake Brown was found guilty on all counts following a trial at Peterborough Crown Court last month.
On Friday (13 September) at the same court, Jake Brown was jailed for 12 years, with a further three years to be served on licence. He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

“I’m pleased he has appeared in court and been jailed for this awful crime.
“I’d like to commend the victim for her bravery throughout the investigation and trial. I hope the conclusion of the court process will help as she begins to rebuild her life.
