A Worthing Paedophile, Jack Laingchild, men who lured two children on social media and had sex with one of them has been arrested.
Jack Laingchild, 36, of Pond Lane in Worthing, started summer 2018 social media correspondence with two girls, aged 14 and 15.
Before seeing both of the females several times and offering them cannabis before having intercourse in his car, Jack Laingchild sent sexually graphic messages and images of his genitalia.
Both girls told their parents about the events, and they then notified the police; while both children were under protection, an inquiry was started.
Jack Laingchild was arrested later after being named as a suspect.
He was found guilty at Lewes Crown Court on January 17, 2024, of two charges of sexual communications with children and of sexual activity with a child. Rape charges were directed to be kept on file.
Jack Laingchild was imprisoned for four years in the same court on March 8, ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register, and received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order greatly restricting his access to and capacity to harm children.
“Jack Laingchild displayed a deliberate plan to groom his victims, isolate them with the offer of illegal drugs and exploit them for his sexual gratification,” Detective Constable Katie Brixey said.
Jack Laingchild was brought to justice thanks to their bravery and forethought in reporting his crimes to their parents, who then visited the police to be shielded.
“He now faces a period behind bars and is subject to orders intended to stop him from causing further harm to young people.”
