Goring Rapist Isaac Amponsah was found unanimously guilty by a Worthing jury of oral rape at a residence in November 2018.

Back in June 2022, the 41-year-old, Isaac Amponsah, was sentenced to four years in jail at Hove Crown Court; he also received a restraining order barring him from any future contact with the victim.

Isaac Amponsah of Strand Parade, Goring, will also be included in the lifetime sex offender register.

Investigating Officer Amber Evans said: “I hope the result of this investigation will reassure the public that accusations of sexual offences are examined meticulously and relentlessly.

“I also hope it will provide other victims of sexual offences the confidence to report to the police.

“The victim in this case has shown exceptional bravery not only in disclosing this but also in helping the inquiry and prosecution over a protracted period.

“She should be glad of her significant role in bringing Isaac Amponsah to justice since she testified in court.

” Hopefully, the conviction and imprisonment will give the victim some consolation and stop Amponsah from perpetrating any such act.

“Very importantly, Isaac Amponsah will remain on the sex offender’s register indefinitely once he is released from prison, so providing long-term protection to other women.”
