A 71-year-old Clee Hill Paedophile, Hugh Hughes, has denied multiple sexual offences committed against many children spanning more than 35 years.
When Hugh Hughes of Lion Lane, Clee Hill, came before Recorder Ben Williams at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Monday, he entered not guilty to 20 charges connected to the sexual abuse of young girls.
With the most current charges concerning acts allegedly committed as recently as 2021, the court heard the charges involving at least four victims and traced back as far as 1987.
The charges cover several counts of sexual assault on girls as young as six, as well as assault by penetration on females aged under thirteen, sexual assaults on children under thirteen, and several indecent assaults on girls under the age of thirteen.
Hugh Hughes, who entered not guilty to all twenty counts, is scheduled for trial in March next year.
