A “violent predator” Middlesbrough Paedophile Ellis Dismore who solicited a young girl online has been incarcerated for attempting to murder her in public.
Ellis Dismore, 24, received a 43-year prison sentence at Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday for attempted murder and over 20 further offences against underage girls.
Cleveland Police reported that Ellis Dismore, a resident of Middlesbrough, transmitted menacing and unsettling voice messages to the girl’s family following his online grooming of her.
The subsequent knife incident occurred in broad daylight in Middlesborough in June 2023.
The young girl was assaulted after disembarking from a school bus and was repeatedly stabbed.
The attempted murder was recorded on the dashcam of a passing vehicle, and a motorist intervened to assist the victim, escorting the girl to her mother’s safety.
In November of the previous year, Ellis Dismore was found guilty of an additional 16 charges pertaining to the grooming and stalking of minors, revelations that emerged following a police investigation into the attempted murder.
Ellis Dismore employed fictitious profiles to impersonate a teenager for a duration of seven years, according to law enforcement officials.
He subsequently solicited indecent photographs from his victims and threatened to disseminate them if they would not comply with additional demands.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Hamilton commended the courage of Ellis Dismore’s victims when speaking outside the court.
DS Hamilton said the defendant made “vile threats” towards his victims and sent “sickening voice notes threatening to rape and stab them”.
He said the offending “escalated” when he attacked the 15-year-old with a knife in a “terrifying assault as she went home from school”.
“Ellis Dismore is a violent predator and now that he is in prison he can no longer pose a danger to women and girls in our community,” he added.
Rani Govender, an online specialist with children’s charity the NSPCC, said Ellis Dismore was a “frightening and highly dangerous individual”.
“The fact he was able to create a teenage profile on social media sites to target girls highlights once again why tech companies must be compelled to make their platforms safe by design for all their young users,” she added.
