Aston le Walls Paedophile Duncan Stevenson, an employee at an Oxford children’s home has been charged with sexually abusing a little child.

Employed at an Oxford children’s home in 2018, Duncan Stevenson has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse against a young teenage girl.

Allegedly on travels away from the house, the 67-year-old is accused of slapping the girl on her bottom and touching her inner thigh two separate times.

Denying the charges, Duncan Stevenson of Butlers Close, Aston le Walls, is currently on trial at Oxford Crown Court.

Starting the case on Monday, August 12, barrister David Tremain said: “There are two attacks on two occasions, they are separate.

The first entailed caressing the complainant’s thigh; the second involved touching her bottom across clothes.

“The complainant was sixteen at the time and lived in Oxford in a children’s home. Duncan Stevenson worked for another house, although the same business oversaw it.

“There was some staff sharing and overlap for cooperative projects.”

For legal reasons, Duncan Stevenson would “visit” the girl who cannot be identified, he said to the jury, then take her and a companion on excursions away from the house.

“He would visit her and ask to take her and her friend out for the day,” Mr Tremain added. ” Staff reported he would bring flowers to her on her birthday and showed particular interest in her.

“On one occasion, the girl was in the car on her going to a show when they arrived at the car park; the different opened the door and forcefully smacked her on the bottom.

“It was on slap, one hand on her upper bottom section. She was startled but said nothing that day.

“There was another instance at a performance and…She said it was a stroking motion as the defendant went too high on her, and his hands descended from her shoulders and touched her on the upper thigh.

“She omitted reporting at the time.”

The girl notified a support worker in February 2023 about the claimed events and was on the jury. The support worker then reported Duncan to the police.

Authorities questioned the girl in April of that year; this was videotaped.

Anticipated to run two to three days, the trial keeps on.
