Lisnarick Paedophile David Baxter, a music teacher from Fermanagh, has resigned from his position as the musical director of Omagh Music Society (OMS) in response to accusations of child sexual abuse.
Dr David Baxter, aged 65 and residing at Killadeas Road in Lisnarick, will face official charges in Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday, September 9th.
David Baxter is accused of committing one count of child sexual abuse on a child under the age of 13, with the incident occurring at some point between February 1 and April 30, 2018.
David Baxter, a retired educator, previously held the position of music department head at Erne Integrated College in Enniskillen. Additionally, Baxter was president of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT).
David Baxter, who serves as the musical director of the OMS, has temporarily resigned from his position following the revelation of his impending court appearance.
An OMS spokesperson said, “The committee of Omagh Music Society are aware of information in the public domain concerning their musical director, Dr David Baxter. Dr David Baxter has agreed to step down from his role as musical director until further notice and alternative arrangements have been put in place.”

David Baxter, the ex-president of a Northern Ireland teaching union accused of sexual assault has entered a plea of not guilty.
David Baxter, a 55-year-old resident of Killadeas Road, Lisnarick, is charged with the sexual touching of a minor under the age of 13, occurring between February 1 and April 30, 2018.
The retired music instructor did not attend court in Enniskillen today; however, a legal representation informed the Judge that he would be filing a ‘not guilty plea’.
The matter is scheduled for a subsequent hearing on 7 October 2024.
Mr. David Baxter, held the position of President of the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers in Northern Ireland and has just resigned as Director of the Omagh Music Society.
