Folkstone Paedophile Callum Maycock perpetrated a sexual assault on a schoolgirl in Folkestone and has since been incarcerated. On the morning of Thursday, June 27, 2024, Callum Maycock confronted the victim along Foord Road.
Callum Maycock made unwanted remarks to her and thereafter engaged in inappropriate physical contact. This compelled the victim to flee and notify authorities, initiating a police inquiry.
The next day, officers scoured the area and identified Callum Maycock, who conformed to the victim’s description. He was apprehended 24 hours subsequent to the commission of the offence.
The 21 year old, Callum Maycock, formerly of Foord Road South, was charged with and later admitted sexual assault. At Canterbury Crown Court on Friday, November 15, he was sentenced to two years in prison, a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a 10-year restraining order.
Detective Sergeant David Hinwood said: “Protecting women and girls is an absolute priority for Kent Police and we will relentlessly pursue anyone who poses them harm. The quick actions of police following this troubling incident saw the offender swiftly identified, arrested and brought to justice.
“I would like to praise the victim and her family for their assistance during the investigation and I hope the court orders imposed as part of this sentence protect the public in future.”
