A Newcastle Paedophile Brian Jordan who sexually abused two girls nearly 50 years ago has been sentenced for more than seven years.
Brian Jordan, now 60, raped one of the school-aged girls, indecently assaulted the other, and engaged in illicit sexual intercourse with her over four decades ago at a Newcastle house.
For years, his crimes remained unnoticed until one of the brave survivors spoke out against her abuser and reported the incidents to authorities.
Northumbria Police’s Safeguarding Department initiated an immediate investigation, which showed the entire extent of Jordan’s criminal activity.
Brian Jordan, of Croydon Road in Newcastle, was arrested in March 2023 and charged with five counts of rape and indecent assault.
Following a trial at Newcastle Crown Court in April this year, he was found guilty of all five sexual crimes.
Last Thursday, Brian Jordan appeared in the same court where he had been imprisoned for seven years and seven months.
Brian Jordan was also informed that he will spend the rest of his life on the Sex Offenders’ Register.
