Asuk Hussain - paedophile rapist

Following a conviction of sexually abusing a child, a Dewsbury Paedophile Asuk Hussain has been imprisoned for over ten years.

On Friday, July 13, 53, Asuk Hussain from Dewsbury was imprisoned for 11 years at Leeds Crown Court.

His was the final sentence for Operation Tourway, a multi-year probe into non-recent sexual exploitation of young women in North Kirklees.

Previously found guilty of an offence of rape against a victim just 13 years old, Asuk Hussain was punished following this in the Kirklees area in 2004.

According to Bradford Crown Court, Hussain had seen the girl in her school uniform before the event and took advantage of her when she needed somewhere to stay.

With his 53-year sentence, the 53-year-old ranks as the 26th man sent under Operation Tourway.

The courts have now handed down persons found guilty in the inquiry a combined total of 378 years in prison.

Operation Tourway itself has been a protracted inquiry into the sexual assault and trafficking of eight female victims in North Kirklees between 1999 and 2012.

DCI Oliver Coates of Kirklees District Police said: “We welcome this latest sentencing in Operation Tourway, which gives us a further step forward in convicting all the offenders found guilty of these horrible offences.

“Leeds Crown Court found Asuk Hussain knew his victim was vulnerable and used her entirely for his sexual satisfaction.

“She had to go through everything again via a trial, but I hope her view of Asuk Hussain’s sentence for his actions would provide some gratification.

He said: “We still urge any victims of sexual assault who might not have reported what happened to get in touch with us.

“Specialty officers who can also sign-post victims to any support they may need thoroughly investigate all reports.”
