Police have lost a dangerous paedophile, Adrian John Thomas, and they have asked Neighbourhood Watch to take over the manhunt.

This is the visage of a child sex offender, Adrian John Thomas, whom a judge described as seeming ‘utterly resolute’ in violating a court order intended to avert more transgressions.

Adrian John Thomas received a three-year prison sentence last month for four violations of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) and one offence of failing to adhere to notification requirements.

Adrian John Thomas, 31, of no permanent residence, received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and notification order in 2017 subsequent to a grave child sexual crime.

The court was informed that he had violated the order a total of 15 times, included the latest breaches.

Adrian John Thomas was released from jail in October 2023 and relocated to an approved residence in Swansea.

In January 2024, he relocated to Pembrokeshire and resided with his mother, who occupied sheltered housing. Nevertheless, he registered with the police as having no fixed residence, violating the notification requirement of his order.

He subsequently hijacked his mother’s iPhone, disregarding her objections, and implemented a PIN and facial recognition on the device, while establishing two Instagram accounts, a Gmail account, and a Facebook account. All in violation of the stipulations of the SHPO.

The court was informed that these actions had induced feelings of anxiety and entrapment in his mother.

Adrian John Thomas acknowledged four violations of the SHPO and one infraction for non-compliance with the notice requirement, appearing for sentencing at Swansea Crown Court on December 19.

In his defence, it was asserted that he had relocated to his mother’s residence due to the absence of other housing, aside from a tent.

He expressed remorse for his acts and sought assistance for his mental health.

Judge His Honour Paul Thomas stated: “You appear wholly resolute in violating the sexual harm prevention order imposed upon you subsequent to your conviction for a grave child sexual offence.”

You provided false information to the police regarding your residence. You utilised your mother’s phone contrary to her explicit requests, despite her pleas for you not to do so. You were on probation due to a prior crime.

You are thirty-one years old. You have accumulated a significant record of offences of this nature. You seem resolute in your unwillingness to comply with the sexual harm prevention order.

He imposed a sentence of three years’ imprisonment on Adrian John Thomas.
